The default time and date settings for Microsoft's Sharepoint sites are of course American. You will need to tell Sharepoint what format you want your times and dates to appear in. This is done by changing the regional settings.
From any sharepoint page, logged in with administrator privileges, select Site Settings at the top of the screen.
A page showing three main headings will appear. The top heading is Administration. Four links are listed under this heading - select the bottom link Go to Site Administration
A new page with four major headings now appears. Under the second heading Management and Statistics there are seven links, select the one that is second from the bottom of the seven Change Regional Settings.
This is where you customise Sharepoint to display currencies, times, and dates appropriately. You will see four options. For Australian Netpoint customers the settings should be customised as follows
Locale English (Australia)
Sort Order General
Time Zone (GMT+10) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney
Time Zone 24 Hour
Lastly press OK and your settings will be applied returning you to the Top-Level Site Administration page. Select Home on the left hand at the top to return to your Sharepoint main page.
