How To Save New Files Directly To Sharepoint From an Application

Pretty much any application program can save files directly to Netpoint hosted Sharepoint. This is particularly useful for sharing files such as MYOB data files between multiple offices or locations.

How To Add Sharepoint to My Network Places

• Once you have added Sharepoint as a network place, saving files directly to Sharepoint is simple.
• Select Save As from your applications File menu
• Give your file the file name that you want it to have (remember no special characters in the file name for Sharepoint)
• At the Save in: drop down menu, select My Network Places
• In The My Network Places menu, select your Sharepoint site and log in using your username and password
• navigate to the area in your Sharepoint site where you want your file saved
• Now press Save and your file will be safely and securely stored with Netpoint online
